Kamwana is the partner in charge of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department in which he represents individual & corporate clients. In this capacity he has attended to many forms of Commercial, Civil, Criminal, Debt Recoveries, Constitutional Law and Administrative Appeals, Employment & Labor Relations, Land and Environment, Election Petitions, matters in all courts including the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court and the Lower Courts.

He has also represented several leading banking and insurance institutions seeking, for instance, to exercise their statutory power of sale, including defending the institutions from any court proceedings arising therefrom. He has represented leading corporates in instituting and defending claims related to employment law, including work injury claims and wrongful dismissals. Kamwana has amicably managed a number of complex corporate and individual disputes through arbitration saving the client from the tedious court process. He has also represented clients before Tribunals such as Arbitral Tribunals and other Alternative dispute resolution tribunals, Co-operative Tribunal, Business Premises Rent Tribunal, Rent Restriction Tribunal,and Competition.

Kamwana has also worked for various Law Firms, NGOs and Government offices in various capacities where he garnered immeasurable experience in various areas of practice other than litigation and dispute resolution such as immigration law and legislative drafting and policy formulation. He continues to consult for various NGOs together with the firm and he has been crucial in building the firm’s capacity in acting for these organizations particularly in development of national and international legal frameworks and advisories.

Kamwana, has more or less grown the litigation department of a firm that in the period he has been with the firm he has brought in numerous litigation briefs that have greatly rebranded the firm as a top litigation law firm.
